We are trying to solve the hurtful experiences of Sibling Bereavement and the adverse affects on children and young adults following the death of a sibling
Our Mission
Our mission is to ensure that all children and young people in Ireland that have lost a sibling can access support regardless of location or personal circumstances.
Support for Bereaved Siblings.
We provide tailored specific individual therapy for young children (ages 7–17) and young adults (ages 18–25) who have lost a brother or sister.
We believe in the power of being understood by others who have been through a sibling’s death.
We believe in continued support from each other and towards each other.
We believe in becoming the person we were becoming before the deaths changed our lives forever. We believe in living with these deaths and moving with them to the best of our abilities.
We are in this together.
Subsidised Counselling Services
Jacinta’s Smile has put together a list of qualified counsellors to provide tailored counselling to bereaved siblings across Ireland.
Adventure Days
We organise outdoor Adventure Days which enable bereaved siblings to meet other youths with similar experiences.
Parent Information Sessions
These meetings provide parents with the opportunity to hear from adult children who had lost a sibling during their childhood years.
